Picture Tag!

yeah!

Alright, the rules are that you have to take ten pictures of the following things, just as I have! No straightening, no cleaning, and no making your kids look cute! That includes wiping noses! Then you have to tag at least five others.

It really was fun! Didnt take too long, I had just finished doing laundry when I checked Holly Hulls blog and saw that I was tagged! Anyhow it was fun, even funner because it is not my house, and its pretty! Still a little messy, in most pics, because keep in mind we are in limbo here at my moms, so we are jam packed in here. I'm just grateful I didnt have to take a picture of the kids room or closet! Enjoy!

I'm sure that my mom is glad that she just cleaned it out, not too bad for having my family of 5 and my parents and my 2 sisters.

This is my favorite room because it is the everything room, it has the most comfortable couches, toys, movies, kitchen right next to it. It has it all.

Not too bad, but I think my mom will still kill me for showing you this :)

6. The Laundry room

nothing fancy, I love that it can be hidden away behind closed doors.

7. The Toilet

I hate cleaning the bathroom, and although it is not exceptional, I was kinda glad to show this, because I was the last to clean it, just recently too!

8. What are your kids doing right now?

Cody is actually sleeping!Can you believe it? I think this actually might be the first picture taken of Cody while he is sleeping! Its not very often that it happens this long.

okay, so these are my favorite shoes, because they still look nice, and I feel pretty when I wear them. You know, less like a mom, and more like a woman. They have heels. The only heels I have left.

Raging Waters is sooo fun!!

We have been so blessed this summer! We have been having so much fun doing different things, but by far, the kids have been loving Raging waters! We have been a few times with Nephi, and then once we met our friends there. The group picture is with Melanie and all of the little monkeys we were watching, while Shauna took the big kids on a few rides! Yes thats right, she dragged my son too, and if anyone truly knows my son, he is a big wimp, and doesnt like to do anything unless he is used to it, like years used to it. So Shauna made him go on a group ride, I forget what its called, and he LOVED it! Yeah Shauna!

Visit from Kiki

So my sister surprised us all with a visit last week! It was so much fun! They literally surprised us though, we had about a nights notice. Her sweet husband kinda jumped on the opportunity and brought their little family down from Thursday to Monday morning. We didnt do a lot, we went to the beach, shopped, celbrated pioneer day! This is the second time my family has been able to spend time with baby Aidan, and the kids LOVE him, Lily loves to kiss him, and hug him, Cody seemed to breathe a sigh of relief during the visit, Actually come to think of it, he really was soo good last week. Sorry, you cant see my hair cut that well everyone, doing ones hair is not smart when you are on your way to the beach. By the way Kiki is what my kids call my sister, Aunt Kiki.

So, I got a haircut yesterday. It is really short, its slightly the kati holmes look, but maybe a little shorter, it goes a little above my chin. Anyways, my kids barely noticed, I asked Lily and Jake what they thought, and they basically barely glanced my direction and said, cool mom. Well, so thats all I got until this morning, when I overhead Jake telling my sister that I got my haircut, "Kat, Mom got her haircute, just like Dora!" Yup, thats right, my son thinks I look like Dora the Explorer. I'm so loved, at least that means he actually noticed. funny, huh?

Jakes last T-ball game

So, Jakey is officially done with T-ball, he had sooo much fun!! The video is kinda dorky, but funny. I missed the most important part of him actually connecting with the ball, but oh well! We know what hitting a ball looks like. In the video, Jake hit the grand slam for the inning, which basically means he was last at bat, so he had to just keep running all of the bases, he has never gotten to do that, so that is why I did the video, and that is why he kept on running or got to keep running. Yes, my son is amazing, although not amazing enough to actually hit a home run in T-ball, although, that wouldnt be too hard, because most of the time spent after the ball is hit is looking for the ball and running to actually get from 10 feet away. Even if you dont have a kid in T-ball, it is seriously fun to watch! T-ball was soo much fun. It would drive us crazy sometimes, but well worth it, he is sooo proud of his trophy.

So the pictures are a little out of order, but like I said before, I have no idea how to do it right.

So we have been having fun. The swim pics are of Jakes last day, he finally went off of the diving board hich was exciting, he was sooo nervous, but after he did it, he loved it so much he did it 3 more times! fourth of July was a lot of fun, we went to the pancake breakfast in upland, and then went to the parade in ontario, it was soo hot! yes, Nephi is sweating in that picture. Later we went to Azusa to shoot firecrackers of our own. That was fun and incident free! Thankfully! The kids really got into the poppers this year, Anna and Nate brought a huge box of them, so the kids really went to town! Nephi's birthday was the next day which I have to mention, because I had no idea what to get him this year, and since he really was no help since he just bought himself a new board, and there really was nothing else he could want, so I decided to just plan a fun day, starting with a surf, and possibly teaching his wife to surf... anyways, on 4th of july we ended up coming home really late, and Nephi kept saying, "I cant wait to sleep in", and "I am soo tired", so I dropped the surfing plan, and told him he had an all day date to himself, to do whatever he wanted, take our time at a movie, go to lunch.. go to the beach maybe walk the pier! ANYTHING. So what does he do? He says well, we have to go to Azusa, and there are some errands we had to do ( like get Jakes name printed on his T-ball shirt) so long story short, we ended up coming back really early, after doing virtually nothing except eating lunch, and he took a birthday nap! I would say my present sucked! but Nephi still said he had a good birthday. Isnt my husband a nerd?

Family update

Hey, sorry it has been awhile everyone! I was trying to wait for pictures to put up, but because of the move I have lost things, and realized I would just have to give a few updates for the meantime. So we have officially moved, but not to Azusa quite yet, just my parents. We are here on a layover until the Azusa house is ready for us to move in. Therefore, it makes the losing things even harder because our things are in 2 places. Anyway, to update a little on other things, Jakey did really well in swimming lessons and can advance to the next level. We thought that was cool, he loved swimming lessons, he even informed me that when he grows up big like Daddy he wants to be a swim teacher. Funny, huh? He is still doing T-ball, which I think he likes even better than swimming, which is a little surprising given the fact that I thought he was going to turn into a fish because he was in the water so much. He is doing really well in T-ball hitting and catching and running! He gets a little bored though, when he is not batting or catching, so we see a lot of twirling, invisible explosions that make him fly through the air, that sort of stuff. It has really been so much fun to watch him at his games! Nephi and I have really gotten a huge kick out of it, and Lily has become a really good cheerleader! Lets see.. not much else right now, I will work on the picture thing, and keep you all updated on the move, or moves. We are really, really sad to leave upland! We had so much fun there! Upland 2nd ward is definitely going to be considered the best ward ever! We love everyone there so much, and hope to eventually return there someday! Hopefully everyone else stays there too!
